Licensing Requirements for Maryland
Licensing Requirements
To obtain a real estate salespersons license, candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent and complete 60 clock hours of pre-licensing education. The Weichert Real Estate School offers The Principles and Practices of Real Estate course to satisfy the 60-hour requirement. After successfully completing the course with a passing grade, candidates are required to pass a national and state exam administered by PSI (contracted by the state of Maryland to handle testing). Candidates must apply for their real estate license within one year of passing the PSI exam.
